Could anyone tell me where the ethernet cable connection might be in a Unit C - Room D floorplan? Are they in the same wall location in each Room D plan? Trying to get an idea of how long of a cable to purchase.

Well it depends which building you are in, because there are a few variations of the room C, but generally I think the ethernet outlets are towards the back of the room (on the wall across from the door) and kind of on the side of the wall (like almost in the corner). The length of the cord depends on where you want to use your computer. If you want to use it in your bed, you might want to try rearranging the furniture and then you won’t have to purchase a very long cord.

My son was in a room D in Cabrillo, which I think was a Unit B plan. The unit C plans look similar. His ethernet jack was on the wall below the window, where he had his desk. I think he only had a 6ft cable, but he mostly kept his laptop on his desk.

vballmom: Thanks for the link to that building plan. I had already looked at it for the Morro Building. This Unit C apartment is flipped, so the Room D on the floor plan that you access through the Portal is actually Room A in this apartment. All of the bedrooms are numbered (lettered) from left to right as you enter the apartments. I think some students will be surprised when they enter their apartments for the first time.

The bedroom I’m talking about is the longer room that is 9 X 12.

NTKS17: That’s a good point about using the computer on the bed. I think I’ll bring up a couple different lengths of cables and see which will work best.

If anyone has any photos of Cerro Vista bedrooms, other than those on the Cal Poly site, please post them and we can get some ideas for rearranging the furniture

Have you seen these? [Cerro Vista Apartments](http://www.housing.calpoly.edu/cerro_vista/gallery/index.htm)

Also check out a couple of YouTube videos. Search for Cal Poly SLO Cerro Vista and you should find one by a girl and a better one by a guy. Both show the rooms and apartment. Sorry i am not sure how to provide a link for them.
