Switch wires between your PC and your 360 or you can buy an adapter from Best Buy, Fry’s, etc. that makes that one Ethernet port into 2 connections

I have no problem with adapters, I have several switches I don’t use already, I just have to plug one in and go.

My question really stems from UT and their ResNet policy. I get one port, but suddenly I am requesting two IP addresses from them off of one port.

Will requesting two IPs off of the same port be ok with the UT people?

It won’t work like that. The policy just states you can’t hook up a wireless device or let other people use your connection. If you bring your own switch or router, you are free to use it. My neighbors had an open WiFi actually, even though that is against the rules, my roommate stole their connection all the time.

Thanks. Prooblem solved
