Hey guys, I have a question regarding one's ethnicity and the college admissions process. I've viewed the demographics of some of the schools I'm applying to (ex: 76% white, 3.5% African American, 4.5% Multi-Race, etc..) and was wondering if it made it any easier to get in because I am of a different ethnicity? Of course I've heard and read about affirmative action, but as a multi-race candidate (white/African-American), how does this affect the admissions decision? Thanks for the help.

Your ethnicity will definitely give you boost, but it won’t be the only reason you get in. You will have to prove that you can bring something valuable to the college and handle the work. If you get good enough test scores and write a super essay, you should be fine. which schools are you applying to?
