I identified as american indian and Caucasian and latino. I am a brown skinned latino. It was a mistake to identify as american indian. At the time I was so confused about my identity. I now know that that button is best left to people who can directly trace/connect to an indian tribe. I left it alone for a couple of years, but now that graduation is coming up, I would hate to misrepresent this demographic by being included in a list of american indian graduates. I don’t want to receive a congratulation email from the office of american indian students. Who can I talk to to change this?
