What's the difference between "Asian American" and just "Asian" on some college applications? Also is "Singaporean" considered a URM group within the Asian race?

singapore is definitely NOT a URM, possibly ORM in certain colleges.

"Asian American" means that you're an American citizen. "Asian" might mean that you are an international student or were born in Asia and are not yet a citizen.

Really?? Singaporean isn't a URM?? I mean, I know its part of the Asian ethnic group but I thought it would receive some bonus kinda like Vietnamese or Cambodian in that it's not as represented as Korean or Indian.

Singaporean isn't an ethnic group...

It's a country consisting of different people mainly Chinese, Malayasian, and Indian?

Singaporean is a nationality, not ethnicity.
