(I put white, but really Portugese is one of those in between mediterranean things, 'cause of the Moors invading the Iberian peninsula back in the day. Skin wise, in the winter I'm clearly white but can share my mixed race friends' makeup, and in the summer (if I go outside) I could be sisters with my friends from El Salvador.</p>

<p>Not that that matters, I just think race is a wierd thing. Like, why is Portugese white and Spanish (from Spain) not? It's really strange to think about. People try to pretend that it's about "ethnicity" and "culture", and not race or color, but my Spanish friends and I both eat paella and chorizo. Why am I culturally "closer" to the British (apparently, since we're in the same category) than them?</p>
