Audition finally over. Does anyone know how many people audition for Ethnomusicology world music versus how many they accept?
Thanks

I can’t remember what the counselor said, but I think around 60+ people apply for world ethno and every year there’s about 12 new ethno students but they probably accept around 25 people.

i tried out :P

What’s so great about the UCLA Ethnomusicology program?

It’s the oldest ethnomusicology program in the US and most ethno programs at other schools were started by UCLA graduates. Pretty much all of the professors here are leading experts in the kind of music they specialize in and some of them teach performance ensembles too. For students who aren’t planning to do research, there’s a course track that prepares them for careers in the music industry and many have been successful working in music licensing, film scoring, recording engineering, etc.
