ETS cancels plans to roll out a revised GRE, both in terms

of format and revision of testing schedules. Here's a link. The status quo will continue.

Fears that there would be insufficient seats to meet demand drove the decision.

WOW! i'm surprised- they were really pushing it. but it sounded dreadful. I'm glad they're leaving it alone (for now)

So, do you folks figure on it ever changing?

Also, does this mean it will be the exact same deal with the vocabulary and the like? All of us on the verge of studying for the test still need to buy all of those index cards and wean ourselves off of any calculators, right?

Lastly, this means that folks can just go ahead and order the GRE testing guide books now, right? There is nothing to wait on (with regards to anything new) at all, eh?

I hope this isn't a late April Fool's joke, but it being posted on April 2nd makes it not one. I am a sophomore now, and I was waiting until the new testing material was being published, but since the new test isn't coming out, it looks like I don't have to wait to prepare for the test.

Ahhhh This Makes Me So Happy!!
