<p>What do you mean by “open up this year”? My D has been a student at both going on 3 years now.</p>
<p>Never heard of the schools, hence why I asked the question.</p>
<p>They are part of The New School University in New York City, located mostly around Greenwich Village, which opened in 1919. There are 8 schools that fall under The New School, with Parsons The New School for Design being the university’s highly competitive art school.</p>
<p>The school has a wonderful history and you may enjoy reading about it.
