I will let you guys know. I have sensitive skin so I’ve used baby detergent in the past and don’t use a fabric sheet in the dryer. I have been using a generic version of Dreft. The cleaning pellets are supposed to be all natural made from minerals. My loads are just for two people at most so it may work out for us. Will keep you posted once I get the product. At the promo rate it was worth a try. Apparently it is product used worldwide.
We use liquid All with no perfumes or coloring. So far it has worked well for us.
Anyone else wondering why jym626’s green herb saver is less than half the price of the white one?
Mine is white. With a green base I think. The sage is STILL usable.
^^
I got one! Yay! I, too, noticed the difference in price for color. I’m using it to keep my green onions crisp.
Ok…my new fave kitchen item is that copper square pan by Copper Chef. I didn’t think I needed another pan (I didn’t!!), but Sam’s Club had a super one-day-only deal with the square pan and the fry pan and I bought it.
It includes a fry basket and a steaming rack.
I use it all the time now. Nothing sticks! Love it. It’s great that it’s square because I can more easily cook 4 pieces of chicken, beef, fish, whatever.
I got an herb keeper yesterday for Chirstmas. Very excited to give it a whirl (or a basil!)!
@mom2collegekids, did I miss a discussion on the Copper Chef pan? We’ve loved our pans but they’re so old and it’s time to replace. Was just planning on replacing with more of the same but you have me intrigued…
I don’t know if it’s been discussed here before.
Here is the set that I got from Sam’s Club. It was either Black Friday or the Saturday before when Sam’s had an extra discount.

H had a shop brush that really worked well in sweeping up stuff. It turns out, he said it was a commercial ‘tile’ brush; see now they are called counter brushes. I ordered a commercial counter brush, and also a horse hair brush. Just received them today via Amazon. H has used his shop brush for many years. Able to sweep up wood dust really well with his that is like the rubbermaid one (below).
I will find some very good household uses for these.

Not new, but new to me. Noosa yogurt. Yum. Tried a few flavors and Blood Orange is my favorite thus far.
@doschicos – Noosa yogurt is heavenly. I started to think of it as ice cream. Because it’s almost as decadent.
That’s what I though when eating it, @katliamom. “I could be happy with this as dessert!” which is not the way I feel about a lot of yogurts. I also wondered what t would taste like put in an ice cream maker.
The Starbucks sous vide eggs are GREAT. I don’t even really like eggs. Love the fire roasted pepper ones w/ 13g protein. Apparently they are so great they are actually sold out (at least in our region) right now.
When visiting Seattle, try our locally made delicacy - Ellenos yogurt. It is tastier than cheesecake or ice cream.
I was using my e-cloth today and I thought of this thread. I know a lot of us went right from posts here to amazon.com and bought things. I wonder if anyone is interested in talking about what they bought from hearing about them here, and how they’ve held up. Regarding the e-cloth - http://www.ecloth.com/News.html I’ve been using these cloths for my windows and mirrors for about a year now and really like them. Streak free cleaning, every time.
I too clean my bathroom mirrors with the ecloths. Love the ease of use and the results.
Does anyone use the ecloth mop on hardwood floors? I’m looking for something to use in between vacuuming and steam cleaning.
I bought ecloths because of this thread, too! I love the glass polishing set, and the stainless steel cleaning set is also surprisingly effective. The shower cleaning cloth takes a bit of elbow grease, but is capable of cleaning up soap scum on shower glass and tile.
Chemex.
After a decade of French press, nearly a decade of Aeropress, and occasional dalliances with the Bialetti, I can’t believe how good a crystal clean cup can be. Just wow.
@BunsenBurner and @walkinghome – I love me a good housecleaning product, thanks for the ecloth recommendation.
