this is the high school forum, so I'll assume you're not in college.
College classes are completely different from high school. While that doesn't mean that they were amazing students, by any means, B's and C's at top universities is respectable.
Besides, I doubt that when they were in college they were planning on running to be president. They were probably enjoying their college life rather than studying all the time.

Einstein got dreadful grades, you know. Not that I'm comparing any of those men to Einstein or anything. Just pointing out that grades are not an accurate indicator of a person's talent, skill, or intellectual competence.

Yeah, I meant to put this in Cafe, but I'm always on HSL, so by habit it was posted here...

Anyways, I wasn't saying they weren't intelligent...Just that I would think they would have tried harder. You don't think they were thinking about running for president?? Surely that was SOMETHING they were thinking about.

As for Einstein, I think he was too smart for school and got bored. These guys are no Einsteins heh heh.

You're right Bs and Cs aren't bad...but D's are. (I didn't notice it was just ONE person who had the Ds)

Back to my original question: Anyone know where stats like this are for THIS election's candidate's? (Obama, Kucinich, Clinton, etc.)

sure, they may have had dreams of one day being president, but you can't even run until you're 35. very few 21 year olds think about how what they're doing right now will affect them in 14 years.
Decisions for them were probably very similiar to a common college student.
study for this test... or party tonight. hmm, a B doesn't sound too bad.

While they're not the best of the best of the best, they were in college. and they got decent grades.

^ lol. Einstein was actually rather bored at school, thus the tediousness was the main factor for his poor grades I believe, besides math and science of course.

Bush not only rand the treasury into the ground, he ran two OIL companies into the ground. How the hell do you run not one, but TWO oil companies into the ground in oil-addicted America? In the era of cheap oil, no less. I bet he left with a golden parachute. Harvard Business School should rescind his MBA.

Thank god he didn't go to Harvard Law, otherwise I'd be too embarrassed to go to Harvard Law. Oh wait, Kerry went to Harvard Law. Guess it's time to find another law school.

Shravas makes a significant point. SAT scores and grades have been inflated since these guys went to college. Not going to debate their grades -- but their SATs (especially Gore's) would have been considered very good.

I heard Ben Bernanke, the current Chairman of the Federal Reserve, got a 1590 on the SAT around the SAT at around that time. He went on to graduate summa cum laude from Harvard.
