my teacher thinks there will be a political theory question on the fr since there hasn't been one in a long time, even though he's guessed that for 3 years and hasn't been right, so he thinks he might be right this year.
political theory as in:
locke
hobbes
rousseau
machiavelli
etc

can someone explain hobbes really fast? i don't get him at all

free response questions: 35 minutes each (2)
document based questions: 1 hour (1)

And its not required 35 minutes or hour... just recommended. So you basically get 2 hours and 10 minutse to write the 3 essays and you decide how to use the time.

CC people are the best. i feel so much better after reading this thread !! i'm going to aim for 80 too, citybirds27.. i know i probably won't get it, but always aim high, right?? :)

What do you do in order to memorize the name of rulers and what they did?

at this point, just cram.......definitely, u wouldn't forget them!

omg, I studied a lot but I hate the frq's.................
I got an 80% on mc and i am sure i did prettyl well on the dbq.........

I usually get around 60-64/80 on the MCQ's, which is around 75-80%. I like the FRQ's because you get to choose, and if you get one that you know inside and out you can get a 7-8 easily. I have mixed feelings about the DBQ's: although you don't really need to know outside information, which is definitely a plus, that's also weird in a way because you're stuck with what they give you, it's not easy to add outside knowledge.
I am aiming for a 5, although I will most likely get a 4. If I get a 5 I'll jump around and scream for 2 days in a row...

SPRITE .......thats awesome.

Hobbes wrote Leviathan, he was pessimistic and believed humans need an absolute ruler to stop them from destroying themselves.

His opposition was Locke, who was more optimistic, also an advocate of natural rights.

its something along those lines.......

we gonna do chatroom again?

start it up!

Is the chatroom going or what?

ok ill make it apeuro07

waoh, seems like more people tend to cram a lot for AP EURo (which is considered to be one of the easier APs!) I'm in the same pool though and deep down! :)

easier APs? I think it's just memorizing alot of crap that nobody REALLY cares about you know? I'm taking it in a few hours, but I keep thinking how hard it is going to be compared to something like math where I can actually "figure" it out rather than just hoping i remember

It is certainly NOT one of the easier AP's, there's a lot of junk to know and the CB makes the MC section really hard on purpose.

yeah I know! I guess APUSH in that case is easier since it just deals w/ US and history is so much together out there!

I'm still cramming w/ 1848s only. I still have to reach the post world war part! OMG!

so did the studying pay off?

actually is sorta did! yay! after all, the test was considerably EASY! although not expecting a 5 since MC was so random. Yeah, I did really good w/ the DBQ and FRQs. Most students were sleeping though (I mean, not taking the test at all!) in the testing center and we could actually hear him snoring! (lol!)
