Its been 48 hours, and i dont think anyone has posted this yet.

What did everyone write about?

I BS'd the one about the Cold War economics/social things. I wrote about the Marshall Plan; Feminism, Green parties, hippy culture etc.

Do you think this is passable?

yea i bsed that essay too, but it ended up pretty damn good. I also did the enlightenment/after fr rev one. That one came out horrible

haha, i did the same one.

The second essay set was really bad

bump......................

i did the one about population growth which was a good amount of bs and the one about improvements for women for the second... i did much better on the DBQ than FRQs

Yea I did the population growth in the 18th century, atleast I think it was 18th. That one came out pretty nice, I used Industrial Rev, Agriculatural rev. and enlightenment as my main reasons.

I was about to do the englightenment one, but that question didnt really make sense.

I filled one essay with everything I could remember about Peter and Catherine the Great (which wasn't much). Then I wrote something semiplausible about Napoleon and the Enlightenment. In my opinion, we got really hard questions. I was looking at past exams and expected at least one on renaissance/reformation... no such luck.

stellanova, i did the same essays! and i my main argument i had to completely make up for peter and catherine. i ended up arguing something stupid like "catherine's political reforms were not as extensive and powerful; in fact, her involvement with politics was rather minimal." LOL

i looked her up in my review book when i got home.. and i was completely wrong. all those wars and polish partitions =(

yea I was reading the princeton review from 05, and in it said that the Part B will contain topics from Rennass. to Napoleonic Era. Part C (last) will contain topics for the rest of European history, I didnt see that pattern on this exam.

Maybe Princeton Review updated it in their latest editions. But FRQs were def hard.

I did #3 and #6..both of which, personally, i thought i did a pretty good job.

3-Pop. Growth in 1700's= industrialization, better health conditions, better transportation, earilier marriages

6- anti-Semitism: Social darwinism, Dreyfus affair, Inquistion of 1492, ghettoization, culturally differant people (i explained that very pious Jews do not shave beards and Peter the Great forced people to shave beards to westernize Europe, so Jews were not really intergrated into western culture), and possible jealousy.

/\

wow, I forgot about social Darwinism; it would have been way easier than the French revolution one.

I hate to be naggy; but does anyone think that my essay will be at least passable?

ok... /\ my guess is that you got a 5-6/9 b/c you really did not have any analytical "meat" to it :-(

AP: European History OUR frqs and dbq are up on the site!!!

whats the max i can get if i only used 2 examples

i did the the one on pop growth- agri rev, 1st idus rev-spinning jenny, new oppurtunies - better education, better health care (not sure about that one, but hey, isnt history about new oppurtunities?)
then i did the nap and fr one. (social-eng light thot of social contract, nap code, everyone didnt like nap, so they turned against thinking like nap, political-eng light thogt of diety, concordat with church , consolidating power everyone didnt like nap, so they turned against thinkin like nap, human nature- thinking rationally, fr committe of public safety thot rationally by killin ppl that were agisnt rev, lots of ppl died, ppl didnt like the fr b/c of that and turned away)
of course i included stuff on romanticism for some more points

is that good? lol i thot i did pretty well on those essays, but if anyting is wrong info wise or wahtev, plz tell me. thanks

ah, hopefully they put up the scoring guideline

Better education...digitalfortess, i dont think so! education and population...what is the connection?!?

sorry, i mean to put new oppurtunites: such as education and better healthcare, thus leading more families to want to have children, knowing that they will be educated. hehe, that was my "clutch" example, cuz the first two were agri and 1st indu rev, coudln't think of a last one so i used "new oppurtunities"

What could you have put for the last essay, enlightenment after the Revolution?

All I said was there was like a backlash against the idea of popular democracy because of the violence?

What more could have been said?

can someone take a loot at the previous question?
