I said a lot about how the revolutionary government instituted reign of terror, ran committee of public safety, and destroyed the ideals of the enlightenment. Liberal in name only, and how Napoleon was tyrannical and went far beyond the scope of what his people wanted or needed.

well you could have put how Napoleonic Code established law.

yes,

basically violence, the Napoleonic code, and how Napoleon was so easily embraced because of the French Revolution.

I did population growth and then women. I don't think I got a lot of facts in, though.

okay, I thought form B was what people who had to do makeup testing used. how are their frqs already up on CB? i'm confused.

after reading this thread, i wish i'd added a couple more specific facts to my anti-semitism essay that i was unsure of. however, I think I had enough to get a 5-6+. my first essay, I forgot the Marshall Plan but had a lot of other stuff. 7-8. DBQ should be a 6+. I loved the FRQ section. :D

/

what else did you write about? curious...

(for the cold war prompt)

OMG!!!!

Form B "easy" questions:

Analyze the similarities and differences in the methods used by Cavour and Bismarck
to bring about the unification of Italy and of Germany, respectively.

Analyze the reasons for the decline of the Holy Roman Empire as a force in European
politics in the period 1517 to 1648.

Compare and contrast the political ideas of Hobbes and Locke.
this one is especially simple, since the only thing common is that they're both from the enlightenment; everything else is opposite lol

Argh. I wish we had form b over form a. It was so much easier, although their dbq was analyze the reactions to france changing calendars during the Fr. Rev. [lol]

Anyways, I did 4 and 7, and here's what I put for 4:

- marshall plan, end of colonies, clemens atlee, margaret thatcher, huge war debts, war stricken populace, cold war tensions, nuclear war, and I stuck in the european coal and mining unity [or w/e it was called] as a prelude to the EU

7 - This was very easy for me since I had specifically covered the enlightenment in depth, and our teacher was a whiz on the fr. rev. I put about how napoleon was a dictator, fr. rev. was all killing, no faith in humans, committee of public safety, reign of terror, contrasted with locke, voltaire, and rousseau's theories of humanity and government. I also put how the fr. rev. emphasized hobbes views of life is "nasty, brutish, and short." I felt I did pretty well overall.

I wanted to do 6 because I thought of dreyfus affair and social darwinism, but I didn't think of much else. I realized after the exam that nationalism was a powerful issue as well.

anyways, form b seems like a VERY easy exam. I wish we had that.

I did 2 and 6

For 2 I talked about Peter the greats westernization consolization of the church, better hold over nobility, and other stuff i jsut cant think of. For Catherine I did her territory gains in poland, helped serfs out but then after revolt went back to old way. she was an englishted despot, that sort of stuff

For 6, How culturally different, no homeland, national unity (how Ferdinand and Isabella got rid of them to unify there country). Sor of mention social darwarnism but not by name.

Things i should of done,
For 2: The czar i forgot in the middle was Alexander the third or something, catherines husband.

For 6, I totally forgot about Defyrus affair, that was a pretty good thing to mention.

I figure 6 on 6, 3 on 2.

the DBQ was basically my first actual DBQ because my AP class sucks, but how much would it affect my score if i forgot to cite (document 1). i mentioned the names but forgot to put the document

Idk, in the grading thing its says, mention by author and document or maybe its by author or doc, i dont remeber but i think if you get the author it'll be ok

You should be good as long as you specifically said "Martin Luther stated that...." or whoever. Basically, just identify the speaker/writer in your statement. Most people but (D1) (Doc 1) (Document 1) to make it easier for the grader to identify, but they won't penalize you for that I believe as long as you identified the document.

im going to bump this one more time before it dies

For FR something that I missed out on was talking about communist ideas that were briefly mentioned during the FR.

Some World people took the Euro exam, usually at my school sophmores either take for AP, World or Euro, well some of the world kidss really messed up there essays. They put the wrong information, like idk, i forget which one, but they said imperliasm for population growth. WHAT??

"What could you have put for the last essay, enlightenment after the Revolution?

All I said was there was like a backlash against the idea of popular democracy because of the violence?

What more could have been said?"

I also mentioned the regression to conservative monarchy after the Napoleonic era, as well as the rise of nationalism in Germany and Italy due to the brief unity during Napoleon-this contradicted the individual liberty championed by enlightenment liberals, as it put state interests above all else, and so-called 'liberal nationalism' proved to be unfeasible, as evidenced by Mazzini's failure to gain widespread popularity beyond a core group of intellectuals

hmm...i really am worried about this whole thing...

anyone willing to share their ideas on the cold war prompt... and the women one? i did those two...

this is my first ap exam, is it possible to retake it next year if i study my but off over the summer...i know its wierd, but just curious.

I dnt really know what to say, its hard to determine how you did, i guess..but just wondering if what happens in the worst case scenario...

This was my first AP test to. Before we went in we had about an hour and i realize dI hadnt thought at ALL how I was going to write my FRQs. I think I did ok, but I kind of really didnt know at all how to write them. I jsut looked at the examples in the barrons but thery were all 9s and 8s. There was one 5, but it was seriously a paragraph so i dont really know how I did on those.
