European Colleges with good Physics programs

What are some good colleges/universities in Europe for good bachelors Physics programs? I've been searching a lot, but I only seem to end up with colleges with a language of instruction other than English.

There are three universities that you can’t go wrong with in Europe when it comes to physics; ETH Zurich, Cambridge and Oxford (Or some would say the Imperial College).

Good luck.

Thanks for the reply!

I’ve all ready checked out those universities; ETH Zurich doesn’t offer B. Sc. Physics in English and the rest are wayyy above my league.

I believe that studying in Europe is always an advantage because you will learn another language, and that means more job opportunities.

What about University of Copenhagen and Trinity College in Dublin?

I don’t mind learning a new language. The problem is that the universities ask for proof of proficiency in that particular language, and I just don’t have the time to learn a new language before graduating High School.

I’ve looked at University of Copenhagen, but I’m gonna have language issues there as well. I’ll check out Trinity College. Thanks!

Trinity College is kinda expensive for me and doesn’t offer financial aid. I’m pretty sure I won’t get any merit aid.

Why Europe? If you want English as the language of instruction, why not the USA?

USA is my first choice; I need a back-up plan.

Why would there be a good English-speaking university in a non-English country, particularly in wealthy European countries that cater almost entirely to their own populations? Top French universities will teach in French, top German universities will teach in German, top Dutch universities will teach in Dutch, top Swiss universities will teach in either French or German etc…that is entirely natural and as it should be. Imagine if IIT taught in English rather than in Hindi.

The only place where you can find strong universities that teach in English in Europe is in the UK or Ireland. There are several excellent universities that are strong in Physics in the UK. RML mentioned three obvious ones, but there are many others, including St Andrews, Birmingham, Manchester, Lancaster, Durham, Warwick and UCL. Of those, Lancaster has the lowest admissions standards. Royal Holloway is not as highly reputed but has a solid Physics program that would be a safety for most.
