My daughter did her middle school years in Switzerland and Canada as we were expats there. She has traveled all over the world and has a very global perceptive, is there a way to highlight that on her college application or mention it in essay or interview? Any benefit?

You can mention it…be wary that it usually reflects privilege on the part of the kid/family and it’s best to focus on the four years of high school.

Of course colleges are interested in students with interesting backgrounds and perspectives. Language skills are great. It can be the subject of an essay or something mentioned on the side or cited as a seed of interest in some academic area or EC. In an interview it would be part of the ‘tell me about yourself’ but it will probably move on to HS related stuff.
