<p>If you want to study internatioanl relations, and do not necessarilly work for the U.S. government, is European schools suitable?
I want to have a broader exposure to different cultures, and different experiences in foreign schools.
Also, what are the most important factors that admission officers look for?</p>
<p>The answer is yes. Many people (including a couple of us on this board) are going to either go or have gone to European schools for IR or Politics. And even if you do come to the USA, these degrees will not be worthless. But in Europe they mean alot too…</p>
<p>LSE ranked really well for Masters this year. Oxford made the Foreign Affairs list for PhDs.</p>
<p>What if you want work in Asia, does master degree of european schools have the same quality as you work in Europe?
Also, like I mentioned above, what are they looking for?
Additionally, can you recommend me schools that have great IR program?</p>
