European Universities

Hi, I'm currently applying to study over in Europe but I haven't decided how many more universities to apply for since I do not know if they'd be easy to get into. Universities applied to so far are mainly in the UK:
University of Edinburgh, Imperial College, St Andrews, UCL, University of Glasgow, and Aberdeen U
I wish to apply in:
----> France for Sorbonne, Marie et Piere Curie, Uni. Provence
----> Germany: Uni of Munich, Berlin U
----> Switzerland: Uni of Geneva, ETH, Uni of Zurich

I know that for these universities you need to have the language down, that part does not worry me, already have years for each of them, but i wanted to know what are my chances of getting in. The one I'm most interested in is ETH so if anyone knows or is currently attending any of these universities, let me know, I'd greatly appreciate it!

ETH is more technologically based then some of the others you mentioned. Although it shares a lot of things with Uni Zürich. ETH is very competitive, I have heard it being compared to MIT. I would say if you are applying to those two, you might as well apply to TUM as well as Uni München or at least look into them.

Again I don’t know what you are interested in but all of the schools you are looking at are great schools.

Also do you mean Freie Universität Berlin or Technische Universität Berlin? I know a little bit about the schools in Germany and Switzerland, but unfortunately I don’t know French or much about the schools other then the ones you mentioned are very good.

Good luck let me know how it goes.

Hi! Which is the best University in Europe for History of Art?

Warwick, Durham, St Andrews, Edinburgh
Exeter, York, Manchester

Imperial College will be the most difficult to get into. It’s the UK’s MIT.

^ Imperial isn’t that difficult if you’re applying as an international student. I think St Andrews is just as hard to get into as Imperial, if you’re an international student, as the bulk of its applicants (more than 50%) are from outside of Scotland and England. Warwick and Durham are slightly less difficult than Imperial when it comes to selectivity. Some UK universities have really improved in the past few years hence the competition for place has become stiffer than ever.
