Evaluate my Scenario Please

Technically the Sec. AF is a nomination source, but it is not open to you, only to prior enlisted folks. In this case connections don't really mean very much. Does that make sense and answer your question?

yes ty..............

We will not lie, steal or cheat, nor tolerate among us anyone who does...If this holds meaning to you why would you want to shortcut the system?

dude shut up its over with

A bright future this one does not possess.

This will be very interesting to watch and follow the futureAFAPilot, and the endeavors that this person will go thru. As I have been on reading these forums over the past year, it seems that this person has a long way to go.

BTW, son will leave August 29th, for Northwestern Prep. Even with that, he is not guaranteed an appointment for the class of 2011. It is such an accomplishement for him to have secured the Falcon Foundation Scholarship.

For all those out there beginning the application process, please read everything and follow the instructions and pay close attention to the deadlines.

Be glad that Zaphold is not a close follower of the AFA threads. He would be all over this futureafapilot.

Good Luck.

FutureUSAFApilot : "Im just trying to get a feel for the rules!"

Even if the rule allows, you still should have moral decency to not shortcut the system. Basing your actions on higher values (like fairness) than just "the rules" is showing true and genuine character that the USAFA looks for.

ok well everyone needs to just calm down I mean I thought I could just ask a question like everyone else does without getting flamed. This is a question forum I thought you all would act like it is.

The reason you got "flamed" as you put it was because of your perceived intention to gain an unfair advantage. As it's been mentioned, this is not a trait that is advocated or even tolerated in someone who expresses an interest in becoming a part of the Academy.

If you have legitimate questions, ask them, as there are resources here (and elsewhere) to help you. However, there is is no need to argue. I suggest you just put this behind you and start anew (one of the blessings of anonymity on the internet).

Well I agree but i thought it WAS legitament

Let it go...

let your mom go !!!

And you sincerely wonder why people don't take you seriously?

FutureUSAFApilot,

I would strongly consider that you pause for a little introspection. Take the time to look over this forum, and you will find a great number of questions from potential applicants, along with some really good advice. Some of the best advice that I've found has come from UNcynical, who is generous enough to share the insights and knowledge that she's gained through the nomination process and four years of attendance at the Air Force Academy.

You need to ask yourself why everyone is responding to your posts differently than is the norm. This is not a forum that routinely attacks those asking questions, so why are things different this time? Since the people responding are the same, it stands to reason that the variable element is you. Slow down and take the time to read what has been written and try to understand the reasons that so many people were offended. The knowledge that you will gain will be invaluable to you if you continue to pursue an appointment to the Academy.

hmmm id rather do soemthing mroe prductive

The drama really isn't necessary. Your question was answered, so listen to UNcynical and LET IT GO.

Wow, one younger kid really got this board going and shook everyone up pretty bad...

Hopefully, he isn't a suprise-cadre because he might really throw off some basic cadet's bearing, and really play with their minds... Its always tough to take "your mother" jokes over the internet.

He is younger kid that asked a question, and he is alittle bit "uninformed." Be easy on him...

"hey "taffy" why dont you type english and stop being dumb?"

hahahhahaha wow, don't even bother applying to any military academies. please, the road ends here.

FutureUSAFApilot-You are more than welcome to ask a question. It's the quibbling and condescending tone you have used in response to the replies.

What part of "NO" did you not understand?

A polite "Thank you" would have avoided the types of responses you got.

I have a suggestion, re-register with a new screen name after you are ready to take the Appointment process as seriously as the rest of us. (Read the oath a cadet must take - If you are still serious about AFA, ask away)

im not going to say thank you to some nincum poop! Also, how can you have a tone over the internet? Your typing not speaking!
