SAT I: 2350 (800 CR, 760 M, 790 W)
SAT II: 800 (U.S. History)

I have two more SAT IIs coming up, Math IIC and Literature. I know my scores that are in the bank are great, but I'm just a little worried about my upcoming SAT IIs. I feel time will be an issue with the math one, and I find the Literature test "open-ended" at times (based on Princeton Review practice tests). I feel confident in at least scoring above 700s, but I had higher expectations before. I was just wondering that if, say, my Math IIC was 710 and my Literature test was 730, how competitive my standardized test scores would be in admissions to schools like Amherst or Yale.

BTW, I know some people will probably call me ridiculous for being insecure about a 2350 SAT, but at schools like Amherst and Yale, I'm sure that there will be many more top scorers.

dude how can you even be worried with a 2350? once your score exceeds even 1900 they begin to look at other aspects of your application, like your ec's, recommendations etc. I suggest you not even worry about your standardized test scores, since they are freaking amazing.

The higher your SAT score, the higher your chance of getting accepted. That's the way it works, unless you have some serious hook. That said, I don't think a retake is in order, nor worrying about your score. The candidates that have a score above you in the SAT I likely won't easily beat you elsewhere, so you won't have a problem.

Do well on the Math IIC. It has an easy curve - no reason for you to get a 710 on it.

Sorry, but I really dislike people like you....the ones who are so insecure about themselves that they have to ask people for obvious answers to make them feel better. (I have a reputation for being blunt to people on this board...you're not exception...but its still the truth). Once again, all the top 5-10 schools can fill their entire class with kids with 2300-2400...but they dont. Scores are used as a cutoff. Thats why its a crapshoot, because the colleges DO NOT want all 2300-2400 kids...because some of today's biggest leaders arent necessarily great test takers, but have a strong personality and experience to back it up. I'd be more worried about essays, rec's, and leadership more than SAT's if your scores are over 2100.

If you're happy with your score, then thats all that matters. If you feel you can do better, then try...but dont ask people to tell you an answer you already know.
