Hi! So, currently the schools that I am prioritizing are Barnard College, and NYU (College of Arts and Sciences), Macaulay Honors at CUNY. However, I'm worried that my scores may not be sufficient enough for the schools.. I know that the admissions process in these schools are holistic and that other factors are important, but strictly focusing on my scores at the moment, I want to figure out whether I should submit my ACT or SAT+SATII scores to them.

My scores are as follows:

SAT: 2040
CR: 630
M: 750
W: 660
Essay: 8

Chemistry SAT II: 730
Biology SAT II: 690

(first) ACT: 31
E: 33
M: 34
R: 28
S: 28
Essay: 09
English + Essay: 31

(second) ACT: 32
E: 33
M:32
R: 31
S: 31
Essay: 11
English + Essay: 33

I'm also planning on taking my SAT one last time tomorrow (Dec. 1st) and my ACT one last time on Dec. 8th. I really need to make a decision as to which score I should submit to the colleges (as I cant submit both) so that I know which score to do a rush service, but I'm having such a tough time really understanding which scores have greater significance.

Also, from what I understand, universities such as Columbia (and colleges like Barnard) do not want "rush service" of a student's standardized test scores, etc. I have surfed through CC and it seems that rush service is strongly advised against in general. However, I feel that if my SAT score tomorrow is superscored with my first SAT or if my ACT score for the one next week is superscored (some schools do this for the ACT), then my scores would be greater, therefore I should try out the rush service. I am hesitant about this though, and am really at a loss of what I should do.

P.S. - In regards to Barnard and NYU, would they accept SAT or ACT scores past their admissions deadline (Jan. 1st) even if it was sent to them before the deadline? Apparently it takes two weeks to send the score to the college even electronically????????

I'd really appreciate your advice. Thank you so much for your time!!!
