Applied 11/1 same as sister. My stats are higher: 17-percent rank very competitive public high school, 4.7 W school doesn’t do UW, 27 ACT (not best but…), lots of involvement in school and community plus work. She is defered for education. I’m unchanged for Fisher. Does this mean I’m not in? Are my chances lower due to no response yet? Any insight appreciated
No, there will be another wave in the mid of Jan for EA, just be patient.
I thank you. I understand that. I meant is it not in my favor that I was not in the first two waves.
It’s random
Are you out of state or in State?
Can not sign in the application portal, there is a chance that a few of applicants may get the updated status Monday, similar as the last wave. Just be patient and check the portal frequently
@gentleman2 My son is in the same boat. He applied 10/31 for computer science and is still at evaluation. I know many are saying there is another round for EA in January, but I thought EA was supposed to find out by 12/15. I’ll have to check the website.
I can login to mine. I don’t remember there being updated the Monday after the releases before… did they update it the past two times?
EA applicants are guaranteed to hear by by mid-January per the tOSU website. There should be another wave of acceptances around January 12th I would guess.
@fraidycat I recognize your name from the RIT page…our sons applied to the same schools on the same day. He also applied 10/31 and is also still at evaluation for computer science!
@My3Nerds Funny. Did your son do the ED application at RIT? Only wondering about OSU because of the “ED friendly” policy at RIT and we are OH residents. Since RIT may not have scholarship info until January and we don’t have to pay the registration until February, we’re probably OK with waiting until Jan to find out from OSU. Is your son doing straight computer science? Mine is doing Game Design. He’s heard back from 4 schools (out of 7). Funny - OSU will be the last one to send their decision.
@fraidycat Yes, ED at RIT…his top choice. Game Design also. We are Ohio residents as well and made him apply to one in state school for financial reasons. He only applied to 4 total, he’s in at 2, and I guess OSU isn’t too bad, his second choice is USC which has a really tough wait. You only find out there end of January if you get a scholarship. If you don’t get a scholarship, you don’t get your decision until end of March. So we’ll definitely be waiting until the last minute to pay registration at RIT, but I am guessing that is where he will end up.
