Evaluation vs. Letter of Rec

Currently I have one letter from my track coach and am expecting one from my choral instructor of 4 years. Until recently, I thought that letters of rec and teacher evaluations to be submitted on the common app were entirely different so I did not ask any of my teachers from academic subjects.

Does anyone know if it is okay to simply have two evaluations from teachers of academic subjects (without letters of rec) and just add my two expected letters with them? or is it required for the letters to also be from the evaluators?

I will be asking my evaluators for letters of rec, but I just want to know if it is okay to have letters and evaluations from a mix of people in case it is too late in the year to receive the letters in time.

Thanks!

Generally, the Teacher Evaluation (TE) should consist of the form and written comments from the teacher who filled out the form. It sounds like you are drawing an erroneous distinction between the TEs and letters submitted by other teachers who have not necessarily completed the TE form. I suggest you coordinate with your teachers to find out exactly who sent/wrote what and then check with your colleges to see what they expect from you regarding who should be completing the TEs and written comments; the coch/choir combo will be viewed differently than a core academic subject combo.
