Evening Program

We are thinking about attending an upcoming W&L Evening Program. It's at least a 45-minute drive for us. We've done the campus tour & group information session at W&L twice already. Is it worth it for us to go to the evening program? Has anyone here been to one, and if so, what is it like, and did you learn things that you wouldn't have learned when visiting the campus? Thanks in advance.

W&L is a school which counts points-of-contact: visits, interviews, evening program attendance, college fair attendance, etc. in its evaluation process (along with the academic and other qualifications a student brings). Level of interest plays a role in their decision-making as it does at many small schools. Go if you can, but only if your student has real interest in the school.

Puzzle 78 has a good view of W&L’s admissions process. When they provoide an opportunity like an evening program that is a way to stay in touch with the office. Don’t pester, that does NOT help. Do not be omnipresent, just let them know you care. Good luck. It’s a wonderful school.
