Ever feel like you choose the wrong school?

I feel like I did. I got accepted to two schools at a transfer one was a new university the other an older more well known uni. I choose the newer school and now I regret it. I feel isolated, i'm an extrovert and have tried multiple times to be involved in campus life. I feel like the school I choose doesn't care about transfers and thus there are no programs to help them adjust. Been here a year now. Meanwhile friends at the older college are having a blast because even though its a large campus it feels small. Anyone else feel this way

don’t have anything to add to the thread but great username! what a team the 99 spurs were and who knows, maybe timmy will get a 5th ring this year and tie kobe (duncan never had a shaq or gasol type on his team either!)

Sorry to hear that, spurs. What happened when you tried to get involved with campus life? Just couldn’t find any niche to fit into?
After making my choice, I tried not to think about the colleges I’d given up, which was kind of important seeing as I picked my last-choice financial safety. Thankfully, I really like it here.

I joined the wrong club. ids were really really weird. I should have rushed but now its too late since ill be a senior

@Muscovy, I also chose my last choice college. It’s a financial safety. Every time I think of the top notch schools I gave up, I just hat the school i’m attending even more.

@OP, Try to find a club you like, go to mixers. Does your school do Greek life? That could help as well.

I got into five amazing schools and gave them all up to go to my last choice safety (which was also one of the most financially safe schools). I still have no idea exactly why I gave up the other schools - I was really excited when I got in, it was just my gut that told me to go to my current school.

At first I was completely miserable and trying to transfer after only my first semester. Then, I found a little more of my place and the school’s starting to grow on me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m going to apply for a few transfers for junior year, but mainly, I’m happy.

You kind of just have to make your own place - no one’s going to make it for you. Make the best of your situation, but you can always have a backup plan.
