Ever get that "How did I get that score?" feeling?

Because that just hit me BIG TIME. I took the ACT as a part of free statewide testing for Tennessee. I just got my results back. Now, my first time was a 27 composite with no studying and I didn't really wanna put my best foot forward, just to see what I could get.

Took this statewide ACT on 5 hours of sleep (had to close at work the night before, didn't get out until 11:30!) and a LOT on my mind besides school. Wasn't able to study at all in the last month due to a schedule that had me waking up at 5, leaving the house at 6:30 and not getting home until 10, when I would do homework, sleep and repeat. So I wasn't expecting much. Maybe a 28. Maybe.

31 Composite
28 English
29 Math
32 Reading
34 Science

I opened up ACTStudent and when I saw that I just started laughing and running around the house.

I'm counting my blessings! However, I'm wondering if I could match that if I give it one more go in June. I'd actually have time to study with a month between my AP exams and the ACT. What do you think? Has anyone ever been in a similar situation? If I give it another go in June I'd definitely be shooting for that 32+ score.

So anyone got those clutch ACT stories?

You did better than a lot of people who did little-to-some preparation before taking the exam, including me. Good job.

Go ahead and take the exam in June. If you did THAT well without any studying, then I can imagine you’ll do extremely well if you study for it.

I just got a 27 on the practice i took a few days ago. Don’t really know how… I know all of the material but I’m just really slow and I had to rush through a lot of it.
