Are you serious!?!?! C’s hurt your application? Then I’m screwed then. I got a lot of C’s. But not by choice. I just moved to the states from Aruba and when they transfered my grades they transfered most of them as regular classes. But the classes are really hard there! I was in VWO which is pre-university level. So now I’m stuck with a bunch of B’ and C’s and a couple of A’s. T^T My Dutch is transfered as “foregin language transfer 1” -C. That doesn’t look very good in a transcript does it?

Yeah, I got a C for 2nd quarter and I freaked the eff out, even though quarter grades don’t show up on my transcript. But it meant I had to score a lot higher on my 1st semester exam than I planned for. When I went to check my semester grade, I was in tears. If I had scored .3% lower, I would have had a C and my life would have just been over.

Don’t totally give up hope though. My sister had a C in 9th grade I think, in Latin, and she goes to Northwestern now. Got rejected from Cornell and Georgetown, among others, though.

Freshman Year: I got 2 D’s in Honors Math both semesters, a 72.
