I was accepted to all 4 academies with the exception of the Coast Guard, because I did not apply. I received both a Presidential nomination and a congressional nomination to USMMA. I got my acceptance letter to USMMA the first week of November, and sent in all my paperwork before December. I am a future cadet for the class of 2012. Unfortunately this last week I received news from the ACT board about how my ACT scores are under questioned and I might need to take the test over again. USMMA has my SAT score which is 590 Math and 570 Verbal, but it was my ACT score that more than likely got me in with a 27 Composite. If I take the test and score below 3 points from the 27 Composite, the ACT board will cancel my previous score of 27. The Academy will more thank likely hear about it, but will they drop me from the entering class. Anything would help me greatly.

Good questions. Great place to ask.... but won't matter one iota what we think.

Was it a whole group of ACT folks being contacted, or were you the only one?

But it will reflect better on you if they hear this from you, and what your plan of attack is. I'd call admissions and speak with them directly. ("I'd call"=the one who'll be attending USMMA, not the parent)

Good luck to you. Seems there is smoke hereabouts.. the reason why IS critically important.

You seem to be excessively preoccupied with not being able to perform the same on the next ACT? Why? Just DO it.

Oh, by the way, you've gotten good advice from USNA, USMA, and USAFA academy forums as well with the exact same information.

Why don't you call USMMA admissions only after your gotten the ruling from USAFA, since that is where you said you said you really wanted to go (GA district 07)? And after USMA, where that is where you said you really wanted to go on THEIR forum. And after.... well. Whatever.

My only piece of additional advice.... What it takes to GET in is only the beginning.

HS...i find it quite hard to believe yoiu SAT scores anmed you into all four academies. I had higher marks and the nominations and didn't get accepted to all. Maybe compeition is not as tough as it used to be?
