My cousin told me that's where she's going to college. It's in PA. I've never heard of it. Does anyone know anything about it? Is it a decent school in terms of its stats?

I almost posted a Let me google that for you

[College Search - Kutztown University of Pennsylvania - KU - At a Glance](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board)

yikes those are low stats…guess that answers my question.

Yeah I live kind of close to it and a lot of kids from my school go there. It’s where a lot of not exactly bright but not dumb kids go. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of anyone getting rejected from there. Mostly regarded as a teacher college (which is what it was founded as), and it’s well thought of for that.

I’m from PA – Most of our state schools were founded as teaching schools.

Before you judge by stats, consider that PA is strange in terms of state schools – the big ones most think of as state schools – Pitt, Penn State, Temple are NOT state schools, but state “affiliates” and cost more than the state schools. Many choose Kutz, Millersville, and the like due to the cost.

We’re called ‘state-related’. We’re essentially the same thing as any state school. As far at Kutztown goes, it doesn’t have a good reputation at all in PA.
