<p>I was just looking through some stuff and I was realizing that a lot of people really like this school that is nearby to me and I was very surprised. The school is Christopher Newport University, and don't get me wrong I know that it is an up-and-coming school and they have done SO much to the campus and all but I suppose because it is so close that most of us here are really down on it. (Remembering it being Christopher Newport College probably doesn't help either). Anyway, I just wanted to see what the outsider's point of view on this school was, if you know of it.</p>

<p>it's like 15 minutes from my house... it used to not be considered a "good" school, but like you said - it's up-and-coming. a few of my friends go there, and they love it. they like the new honors dorms and the ferguson center (for performing arts). my friend who finished high school with a 3.9 is attending as an honors student.</p>
