Ever wonder...

...if there are admissions people trying to match users to applicants? I don't know, it gives me a creepy Big Brother feeling, but it doesn't seem that unreasonable. And we all come off as super-competitive grade grubbers, be that the case or not. I think cc just brings out the OCD in everyone.

I doubt they would try to match the thousands they have to one, unless they are doing it for fun :).

haha, true.

i don't know. i hope i don't come off as a pretentious grade grubber...I just want to learn a lot :/

Well galestorm, you found me out. I'm actually an admissions officer who has been pretending to be a desperate student seeking to be accepted to a college this whole time. I have been following your posts for a while, and with each new piece of information I predict that I will be able to tell who you are when you submit your application.

No, but I do wonder if I have friends that have figured out who I am.

lol @ catsushi.

actuallly my friend made an account here and the next day her classmate found out who she was. so yeah, i'm pretty freaked out! especially if, let's say, your email address is bubbabubba@gmail.com and you're screen name is bubbabubba and you've got your stats posted in every single friggin one of those "CHANCE ME" forums. they could easily find you. in fact, i've heard of admissions officers finding people on myspace and facebook, although admittedly it is harder on CC.... haha okay i realize that was major rambling, sorry.

Haha, the CC=OCD tendencies is true. At least for me

lol. These posts lead me to wonder, then why people OCD and post their stats everywhere if they're so concerned?

It seems so simple to me. If you have a problem stop. If you're a smoker and can't stop smoking seek professional help. Why doesn't anybody take the necessary initiative?

I agree with hyunsook. Just don't post anything bad/incriminating on the internet if you don't want to be discovered or found out.

Nearly fell for that lolz

I'm stuffed because I've said I'm from PNG and I've told my school. So unless anyone else has come from Andover's class of 2011 (I think its 2011. Maybe 2012?) they'll know its me.

Look, I'm not a grade-grubber as well, I just like to learn :)

aisgzdavinci- lol

op: nope. i've never wonder about that.
