Every possible practice test

I understand that the collegeboard’s tests should be the only ones to use, but I want to make sure I am clear about this.

Does a new “The Official SAT Guide” come out every year with 8 new sats, or has it only come out once? In addition to those 8 tests, there is another book published by college board called “10 real sats” which has 10 unique tests relative to the official sat guide, right? That comes to out to 18 tests but Xigi said in his official sticky that he had 45 tests. Which books am I missing?

As for the psat, there is the one that is downloadable online and there is one which your school can give you if you ask them. Am I on the right track on the psat tests? Besides that, there are no available psat tests.

EDIT:

What is the QAS book? Does that offer official practice tests also?

I forgot to mention that I have heard of ppl buying practice tests online, can someone link me to the that store.

Once again, thank you for the help. Answering these questions might be a pain but you are helping me very much.

Thanks for the help, I am trying to make sure I have all the possible resources.

So far, The Official SAT Study Guide has only come out with 8 tests. The book has been updated slightly, but the tests haven't changed. I suspect they'll come out with a new book WITH updated tests this summer/fall, but that's just a hunch.

10 Real SATs has old style tests...they're still valid for practice but contain no Writing section plus do contain some questions types that don't appear on the new test (Analogies and Quantitative Comparison)

There is one that is downloadable online. This test changes every year.

There are 8 more practice tests available IF you sign up for the College Board's online prep class.

The QAS is the "Question and Answer Service" which is available for 3 test administrations per year. Only people who have taken the test in question can order the QAS, and then they get a copy of the actual test they took.

There is not "store" that I know of (but others might). To the best of my knowledge, it's illegal to buy or sell tests that are not officially released to the public by the College Board. This includes tests that people get through the QAS.

Thanks for the response Peter, it means a lot coming from you. With 10 real sats, official sat guide, and the online prep, there are 26 available tests. I'm still not sure how Xigi said he had 45 tests, or am I wrong about this fact? As for the tests they have online, has anyone ever downloaded all of them and kept them for future generations? If so, it would very much help me if they could sen d them to me.

p.s. Are the tests online changed annually? Semi-annually?

Also, on the collegeboard website, you can take a free practice test if you make an account there.

And you can buy official PSAT tests at the collegeboard store.

And here are the answer explanations for both of the 2006 PSAT tests

The 45 tests Xiggi probably come from past old-style SATs...the 10 Real SATs was updated with new tests periodically (usually 2 new tests every couple of years) so there are multiple versions of that book. Also, you used to be able to order other released tests from the CB...tests that didn't get into the 10 Real book.
