I personally think you have a very good chance. Good luck!

thankss anyone else??

I think you have a good chance just try to get some leadership positions (ie track capt., newspaper editor, etc.) leadership=commitment=good
but otherwise you are a good candidate for EA

What is your background? Are you a legacy, a minority, a robot?

what are your math and verbal break down for the SATs because that is all that they are considering this year?

hes not applying this year though, at least i dont think he is since he said next fall

I think she is still right on this one, though. I don't see ND being all that excited about the writing section (kind of like how they never really cared much for the SAT II's and didn't require them) and I see them just mainly looking at the other two scores, at least until they have a few years of good data on the writing section so they know what it means. Until then, it is kind of useless

I think you have a great chance. Your GPA and test scores are very similar to my older brother who was accepted in 2002 (1400 SAT).

Best of luck to you.

im really hoping they dont look at the writing section at all, it will help me a lot

Unless you have a score in the low to mid 500's in the writing section I don't think it will affect your chances in getting into ND.

i got 680, still looks bad with 790 M and 710 CR

680 is not a bad writing score at all. It looks much more impressive than my 640 CR score, which will actually matter in most applications.

Notre Dame said they arent looking at the writing section at all... so it doesnt matter what you got on it. The only thing that your writing section numbers maybe used for is to set the average for the class behind you, but im not sure if they will even look at theirs. The admissions may just collect that data for a few years before they use it as an average for evaluating prospective students

alright id just like to thank everyone on the notre dame board, everyones been so darn nice. thanks for the input!
