EVERYONE WHO APPLIED ED: are you panicking or am i the only one?!

@hitmenow, also, if you dont mind, did you apply to CAS?

lol sorry but you are inevitably the celebrity now for being accepted so early. CONGRATS!

Applied CAS with a declared major of Politics. SAT: 660(M)/640(V)/720(W). GPA 3.4 unweighted.

Congrats!

I wonder why decisions are out so early this year.

is nervous

Just on another thread someone said that thier friend got her Tisch Acceptance 3-4 Days ago? Is NYU really sending out these acceptances this early?

I know it’s so strange that they’re sending them out this early. Did you send your application in way before the deadline or something hitmenow?

Oh dear, I’m afraid I’m becoming a mailman stalker. I keep peering out the front window to see if the mail’s come yet.

I know right? But I’ve Submitted my application October 1st, and I literally got my confirmation like the next day, So I had to be in the earliest of piles. I still believe that we should really hear something the following week, week of the 10th because thats when the majority of decisions are sent out.

I sent mine in mid-October. Also, I live kind of far away, so even if they are sending them out I bet I won’t get my admissions decision fro a week or so yet.

i hear some letters are alreadying being sent!! and what does LSP mean?? gallatin??

LSP means Liberal Studies Program.

Search this forum for the dozens of threads that people have made about LSP.

@hitmenow or really anyone else who can answer
if you get accepted to LSP, they give you more than three weeks to make your decision, right? … or how does that work? I know that that’s a LSP question, but I’m just curious what the packet they sent you said.

If you are LSP’d, you are no longer bound to NYU by the ED agreement. I asked in the admissions office myself one day, when I was walking back from class.

@hitmenow

congrats!!

I wonder whether ur decision is mailed out or not is determined by what school you applied to. (slash i applied to stern and checked mail today. found nuthin’)

so maybe tisch and lsp sent out their acceptance/rejection letters while stern and others didn’t?

This straight from the letter…

To receive a formal offer of admission to the Liberal Studies Program, you must reply electronically by going to [website] within three weeks of the date of this letter. As an Early Decision student, you may choose to spend your freshman year in the Liberal Studies Program at our New York City campus, or at one of our three international locations; the FAQ has all of the details.

As you know, Early Decision students who are offered admission typically are expected to enroll. In your case, because you are not receiving an offer of admission to the program to which you applied, you are not obligated to enroll unless you decide to accept the offer of admission to the Liberal Studies Program. If you accept the offero of admission and pay the tuition deposit, we will consider you to be bound by the Early Decision Agreement, and expect you to withdraw any other applications.

@ Aznboy256

Looking at past years Tisch are usually the one’s who send out thier letters last typically around the 11th-15th. Stern students also hear somewhat late also around the same time as Tisch or a little earlier.

Hitmenow, our SAT scores are the exact same.
Maybe they read mine right after yours and they didnt want to accept two kids with the same score! or maybe they LSPed you and flat out rejected me…AHHHHHH!!!

its way more than a dream to me now. a rejection would crush me.

@ organic

I’ve got my fingers crossed for ya. Best of luck!

o0o0mg people are already getting letters!!!? same @organic; i don’t know what i’d do if i got rejected :frowning:
i think things will work out, though.

I’m legit freaking out. I sat outside by my mailbox today for fifteen minutes waiting for the mail. It’s all I can think about.

I hardly ever feel this way about anything, but I really do believe that if NYU doesn’t happen for me, that’s how it’s meant to be. I think we’ll all end up where we belong.
