Everything happens for a reason

well, we've been rejected to UCLA... depressing sh**.
but i'm still hopeful that i have bigger and better plans set for me..
what about you guys? people who didn't get in.. share your thoughts, where you're going, how you feel..

BTW CCer's, it was really nice going through this crazy process with you all. thanks :)

Assuming you applied to Cal, there is still a decent chance that you could get in.

If you didn’t apply to Cal that was pretty stupid.

i applied to Cal…but already prepared for the worst
I guess I will have to settle with UCSD-land of UCLA rejects

off to the cal page?! yes who’s with me?? loool!

What was fairly common my year, was UCLA rejection and Cal spring admission.

(Side note: spring admission would not make you a second-class student; spring admission is NOT a bad thing necessarily (I said no to UCLA for spring admission to Cal), for more info go to the Cal forum)

i’m left to decide between NYU & wash u in st. louis, so far. :] any preferences?

Cal is better anyway. :D

I’m going to the Cal page with you! BYE UCLA.

Great, banished by UCLA, but from BC88, adversity’s sweet milk, philosophy.

What I don’t understand is that why they also assigned UCLA student ID numbers to us rejects…

To give you false hope…to crush your dreams. It amuses us very much!

goodbye losers!!!
:(:(:(

I’m sad and crying atm but I know this is a rite of passage. Seeing as one of my friends got rejected, I can’t help but feel envious and happy for him at the same time.

I will most likely go to UCSD or if UCB accepts me.

Although I am happy that I got into UCSD and UCI, I still want to see if I get into UCB to do anything dramatic…

Who else might go to UCSD if their other school are not accepting them??

This hurts a lot…

Man… rejection… I must deal though :P

I feel sad for all of us!

JW Muller that quote fits this! <3

the ucla rejection page was depressing. but i gotta move on… so i have USC, uc davis and san diego… is it likely to transfer from USC to UCLA?

^ You’ll have a better chance to transferring from a community college than from a 4-year.

Oh well, I have NYU. :)

ChristianWu: I’m off to SD if Cal doesn’t accept me (99+% chance of happening).

Well, this’ll be my last post in the UCLA board. Congrats to those who were accepted!

I really thought you would be accepted, BREAKFASTCLUB88…

Yes, it was nice going through all of the chaos this week. I’m glad it’s finally over.

See you all in the UCB blog

Where ever you all end up, remember that this is an opportunity to be cherished. Make the best of your years in college and remember that the future depends more so on how hard you work and take advantage of your situation than the school that you got into, got rejected by, etc.

Gooood luck.

And don’t forget to party hearty.
