OK, so the requirement for the UC's is 2 years of History. I couldnt take US history because I took AP computer science last year... SO I took one semester of history online, and I am taking AP American Government... So I have 1 year world history, 1 semester of online US history... Does the fact that I am taking Ap gov this semester (senior)count? Or will the fact that I only have 1.5 years of history ruin me?

Gov is a separate requirement. Could you take next semester online too? Or a class you could drop for next semester? You could take it over the summer, possibly. But I would check with your counselor to see.

Well the requirement is One year of US History OR one semester US history and One semester Government…

SO does the semester of government i am takin gthis year count?

If the requirement says you can have 1 semester US and 1 semester Gov then you will have fulfilled it.

bump…

Why don’t you ask one of your colleges?

UCHope - like Erin’s Dad, I suggest you contact UC admissions directly. Do not rely on the often-underinformed opinion you find on public internet forums.

are you wondering if the requirement, as for GPA, is only 10th and 11th grades? The requirements for admission on the UC website for math, language, history, etc. are for the full four years.

Yes, it means that by the time you graduate, X requirements have to be fulfilled.

If that’s what it says on the UC admissions site… Then that is what they mean. Usually…
