Eww... DECA I don't want to go.

I made it to states recently in DECA, but I have no interest in going, even though it's mandatory to do so. The negatives outweigh the positives too much - I know no one since everyone's either two years senior or has an excuse not to go, I'm going to miss nationals anyway, I don't want to pursue a business career, I don't even care about the event, I'll miss school and I do HORRIBLE on the following days, it's a three day event, etc. Compare that to the only positive: I get to put "DECA States Competitor" on my resume.

Hmm. Do colleges like seeing awards for regional events?

And I'm really thinking about making an excuse for this. I can hold my own in lying, too.

Has anyone else been at a DECA event?

Then why waste your time in the club…

It’s not a club, it’s co-curricular.

What’s DECA
