EXACT CommonApp SCEA Deadline

Hi everyone, question is self-explanatory. What is the exact CommonApp SCEA deadline? November 1 11:59PM ... at what timezone!? (so basically, how many hours/minutes from now!?)

it should be 11:59 PM TODAY in the Eastern time zone - or Yale/College Board’s time zone. Make sure to adjust - and good luck!

2 hours and 17 minutes from now

Yes, it’s due at 11:59 November 1st eastern time zone

Lol, this thread is just…lol.

Good luck to you, OP. =P

6 Minutes from now I believe…:)

■■■■ … I think I just submitted my application a couple minutes late. But the CommonApp still accepted it. What does that mean??? That the deadline gives some allowance – or am I screwed!?

Why did you cut it so close to the deadline??
I’m not sure what will happen – I hope you’re able to apply!

I’m pretty sure it won’t accept it past the deadline, so you should be fine, but that’s just my guess.
Wait and see if you get an email from common app saying they received your submission I guess - but that takes a while, especially as its probably really busy right now, so check tomorrow morning I guess for if you’ve received one.

I actually got my email 10 minutes ago confirming it received it. But the website still says November 2. -_- haha, ■■■■ my life.

don’t worry. if the common app accepted it, you’re good according to the folks at the commonapp.

also, each college determines its own “grace period” of a couple minutes past the deadline.

relax, and enjoy the coming month and a half.

Felix you are a lifesaver.

But now I also realized on the print preview (that I didn’t have time to do earlier) that the last sentences of my Short Answer got cut off, and my activities list was similarly a mess… -_- Am I screwed? Does this mean instant rejection for an adcom…

And in what order do they even read them, per school or in order of submission? Will mine be on the dubious bottom of the pile? :(

Having things cut off won’t get you an instant reject, but it can’t help either.

Hopefully the parts cut off weren’t adding anything significant about you.

You really screwed yourself over by waiting to the very last minute and not checking over your application, to be honest. There are thousands of other applicants for Yale to choose from who had their application well within the deadline and who made sure that nothing got cut off.

Um… I must be really dumb. When I looked over my print preview of my Common App last night, I saw that a lot of the details for all of my ECs were cut off, but I just disregarded it because I figured that as long as it fit in the typing box, I should be good to go. I guess I’m screwed too if the print preview is exactly what they’ll see.

^^ Just being realistic, buddy. I’m not saying this means rejection, but the OP certainly didn’t help him/herself, especially with something as important as this.
