I would like to know ,how hard is it to get into computer science UT Austin ??</p>
<p>I've applied to UT Austin as a transfer for computer science. I am an out of state student but I've earned credits for a lot of advanced courses relating to my major such as automata theory,data structures,and a lot more.
My gpa is below 3,I probably do not stand a good chance,but I am still trying my luck.</p>
<p>Would need lots more information to chance you. My son did get admitted in to the pre-CS major in the CNS. Math was his first choice. So, I have a vague idea of what it takes to get admitted into this major. CS is not a popular major at UT, yet. I don’t get it with UT’s CS program being in the top 10 in the US. The Gates and Dell buildings are going to be awesome next year!!</p>
<p>With a GPA below 3, I would say that the chances are low, but I agree in that you should try your luck if you want it bad enough! Good luck and hook 'em!</p>
