exactly how important are supplementary submissions anyway

i submitted extra fine arts supplements (a composition i made + program notes and a score and also a violin solo).

if my stats arent that great and my essays arent that great,
can my supplementary stuf help at all?

or is it just going to be ignored even after they listen to it?

or could it give an "extra pusH" to what's lacking in the rest of my app?

ack i know that transcript and essay are the most important... but jus wondering if my supplementary stuff can help out for me in any way at all ....

If your other, main stuff isn't "that great," then you would need to be international level to get in. If you are borderline, and they see that you are an excellent musician (who will add significantly to the school), it will help. Otherwise, it is probably used to confirm your level. This, of course, depends on the schools you're applying to, their admissions policies, and your level of talent.

hrmmm ic
thanks corranged!
