Exaggerating personal experiences?

<p>Hi, I was wondering if I could exaggerate some of my personal experiences for my personal essays. I probably won't do it, but I thought if i can/should.</p>

<p>the personal experience is already pretty big, but i was thinking of adding a little drama. like one of those "based on a true story" movies. hehe</p>

<p>How would they know you've exxagerated it? If you're an effective writer, it will ALL seem true.</p>

<p>Suggest you keep it real (true?). My guess is adcoms are frigging bored by 'a little drama' added to personal essays. IMO, it doesn't read as well as a straightforward, well-considered essay.</p>
