Exam time conflict on telebear

On telebear, one of my classes says "The exam group for this class conflicts with the exam group for another class on your schedule". So is this mean I have to drop this class? Where can I check the final exam schedule and If that possible to talk to the instructor and change the final time? Thanks!~

I would email the professors because some classes have in-class finals

The schedule.berkeley.edu site where you look up classes includes the assigned time for final exams, both the actual date/time and a group number. Generally when you pick classes you check that you don’t have two classes with the same exam group number.

In Bearfacts under registration there is a subentry to select for final exam times - you will see the times listed for your classes.

Then as seapumas has said, some classes are given a final exam time but don’t use it, instead giving a test during the last weeks of instruction instead of during the final exam week. You find all this out on the first day or two of class, when you see the syllabus and the professor or GSIs go over the important details like this. If both conflicting classes are going to use their final exam week timeslot, then you have a problem. Generally you have to drop the class. Sometimes there are more than one lecture section for the class, each with different exam times. If you can work out a way to switch, that is another way you might solve the problem. Ultimately, however, it is up to the student to verify the final exam times and avoid conflicts.

I C, that explains very well. I know what I should do now. Thanks rider730~
