Examples for the SAT Essay?

<p>What are some examples you guys tend to have ready to use for the SAT essay? In other words, which books/historical events are widely applicable?</p>

<p>For example, for me, it's East of Eden by John Steinbeck and The Great Depression of 1930s.</p>

<p>This ans is perhaps generic, but the great gatsby and scarlet letter are generally good. Also, Gandhi, MLK, Cold War, financial situation, American Revolution, Civil War.</p>

<p>For my essays, I brainstorm examples by thinking of the books I studied in my classes this year and last year and info from APUSH.</p>
