Examples of good teacher recommendation letters

I've read a lot of advice on what good teacher recommendation letters should be like--i.e. not just superlatives but also concrete examples and evidence of why the student has X and Y traits that make him academically excellent + a person of good character. And I've seen MIT's [very awesome] letter-writing guidelines. But does anyone have a link or two to actual teacher recommendation letters that are considered excellent? I don't feel that I have a clear picture of what a sparkling recommendation letter should look like yet.

Also, I recently acquired a rec letter that a teacher plans on submitting for me. If anyone with insight on rec letter writing would be willing to look at mine, I would greatly appreciate it if you would private message me :)

Generally, these aren’t released by teachers. So it is hard to find one actually used in admissions.

I wish I had seen mine :(

Why do you want someone to give you insight on the rec? It’s not as if you can change it haha.
I’d be happy to read it and tell you if it gives me a good sense of who you are as a person, which is one of the aims of recs, so pm me if you’d like.

Does the recommenders see your common app like your activities?

You are generally not allow to see the letters of recommendation provided by teachers or others. Generally you provide stamped envelopes for the college admission departments and the faculty members in your school send directly. The same with the overall summary provided to the Admission Dept from your high school guidance when they send the transcript materials.

Stamped envelopes? Don’t they submit recs online now?

@daphne13‌ A lot of high schools still do it the old fashioned way.
