Excel @ carolina kenan flagler

Anyone know any specifics of people who were accepted in the excel@KF program?

It is all over the place and very very limited. It is not all based on grades, class rank. One from my D’s school got in since she was first in the class, but no business experience or even business clubs. Another had good grades, but did something business related over a summer. My D fell in between with great grades and EC’s, but did not get assured admission. Of those that were accepted with assured admission, some did well their freshman year, others didn’t. Most people have to go through the application process their sophomore year which will mean K-F admission will be based on their college experience. The GPA range there is pretty high with an average of 3.6. It could change in the next couple of years with K-F expanding the number of students though. One of the disadvantages of UNC when comparing with other schools.

Maybe not unique to UNC, Ross and Hass are also very hard to get in.
