So, I applied to the EXCEL program the beginning of January. I scored a 690 on the math portion of the SAT. I also took ap calculus AB my junior year and scored a 5 on the ap exam. when i took the math placement exam for UCF, it recommended that i take calculus my first semester of college.
Well, I checked my status and it said, "Unfortunately, we cannot grant you admission to the excel program. We wish you success at UCF."
Is the excel program geared towards people who struggle in math and my stats were too high? Any thoughts?

No it is not geared towards people who struggle in math, more than likely they just ran out of spots, they can only accept 200 or so into the program each year.

I also got rejected with a 710 in math, AP Calc BC my junior year with a 5. I don’t understand either…

They only accept 200 students…they are probably full. Its rolling like admissions is.
