what are some excellent schools with way more girls than guys? just wondering cus they all seem to be 50 50 ....i go to an all guys school so ya know ...>.>

There are plenty of colleges that have more girls than guys. Vassar and Sarah Lawrence are some examples. Basically schools that have a focus on the liberal arts tend to have more female representation.

Oh and also the two schools I mentioned above have way more girls than guys because they were all-girls schools that went coed. But in regards to schools that weren’t previously all-girls, colleges in urban areas tend to have more girls than guys also (NYU, BU, etc).

I was going to say Vassar but I was beaten. Check for former women colleges which turned Co-ed and you are golden. Good you are statistically improving your chances . . .you need all the help you can get bro.

Do you want schools that are very heavily weighted with girls? or just maybe 55/45?

Many schools have ratios in the 55/45 range.

American University has a very high F-M ratio.

Generally, most colleges without engineering schools have a majority females. Many are 55-45 today.

UNC, Holy Cross.

yeah actually I keep reading articles on how woman are dominating higher education (university) and medical school. We men are going to be a minority very soon.

My D is always so lazy with everything she does.

My D cannot find the opposite-- schools with guys! Pretty much every single liberal arts college and small university is at least 55/45 girls/guys, more often 60/40. As long as you don’t pick a math/science place like MIT or Caltech, you’ll have no trouble meeting girls.

Although the university undergraduate student body is closer to the 50/50 ratio this last freshman class at Univ. of Southern California was 46% male and 54% female.

Wheaton College (MA) 61% Female-39% Male (formerly Women’s College)

Skidmore College (NY) 60% Female-40% Male (formerly Women’s College)

Alfred University (NY) 51% Female-49% Male -(Established 1836, always co-ed)

AU has been able to keep it around 50-50, as AU has School of Engineering, School of Business, College of Liberal Arts, School of Art & Design, with student body of 2,200.

With so much gender disparity out there these days, being male is a good thing!

texas womens university 97% women 3% men, suny new paltz, university of georgia athens, chapel hill, and some others i know i will think of later but man you should be goin for quality not quantity.

Even some formerly all-male schools such as Amherst and WIlliams now have slightly more women than men. And for a heterosexual male, I’m not sure it’s a winning strategy to seek out schools with way more women. The surplus women at those schools won’t necessarily be very interested in you.

New York University and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill are both 60% female.

LOL best post of this thread.

There tend to be a higher representation of lesbians at such schools as well…

The average college in the US is 56% female. Many liberal arts colleges are 58% - 60% female. The only schools that are 55% or more males are Schools of Technology and Schools of Engineering.

California seems to have a high % of females across the board in LAC & Publics, and LACs seem to be much higher in female %. The most selective Universities seem to keep the male % between 49% and 52%

James Madison, UDel

If you include the women from Barnard, you would have a great ratio for your perspective at Columbia. ;-)

i think it’s better if you learn how to get girls first…but NYU will be good. something like 60/40 ratio and 30% of guys are gay (go research not sure)
