Exchange student with off-campus housing question

Hi,

I was recently excepted to spend the 2012-13 academic year on exchange. I was wanting to know of good avenues for investigating off-campus housing options. I understand that AU does have an off-campus housing office which can assist with this but I was wanting to know of other options.

Thanks.

The off-campus housing office should help you – don’t worry about it. As an AU student, I can only think of a few places right by campus which are notorious for housing AU students.

Berkshire Apartments - [The Berkshire Apartments: Photos, Floorplans, Availability and Pricing. Address: 4201 Massachusetts Ave., NW, Washington, DC. Luxury Gables Apartments for Rent.](http://gables.com/find/apartment/411-the-berkshire-washington-dc?utm_campaign=Redirect&utm_medium=Redirect&utm_source=theberkshire)

The Avalon, McLean Gardens, etc. I don’t know if these have websites. Look at the Berkshire Apartments housing rates and they will correspond to other housing options in the area.

Also check out Craigs List. Look for apartments/rooms in the Tenleytown or Friendship Heights areas.
