hey
im going to mcgill in January for a semester. could any one tell me whats the accomdation is like? I realise that it is much colder then england, what kind of clothes do people wear ? also im studying history and politics, how many hours of lectures or seminars do u have a week if anyone knows roughly?? Is it expensive to live there?
sorry for the bombardment of questions. if anyone could answer any of them thankyou!

It's REALLY cold here in the winter, so be prepared. Generally people take 15 hours of lectures a week and then another hour or so per lecture each week for conferences. It's not too expensive to live here, but expect to pay about $400-600 a month to sublet a room. Most students live in what we call the ghetto or just west of campus.

you would need a really thick coat. ultra thick. also dont forget mittens and snow boots. If you live in residence and not appartments, then most of the residence are really nice. A year lease was ~12,000 CAD with meals included at new residence, not sure what a semester would be though.
