<p>Hey everyone, just wanted to fill you in on some exciting things happening with, and involving Elon. We closed the fall play “Getting Out” a couple of weeks ago SOLD OUT run of “Hair” this past weekend! </p>

<p>Lauren Kennedy (Spamalot, Side Show, Sunset Boulevard, and the world premier of Last Five Years) will be teaching Senior Seminar this spring. She already spent a weekend with the Seniors and it was incredible! She’ll be back in the spring for more audition coachings and performance workshops. </p>

<p>Dave Clemmons just finished his fall semester time at Elon after spending three weekends with the Seniors. He’ll be back in the spring for more visits and for a masterclass/Q&A with the whole department.</p>

<p>We look forward to Broadway lyricist and composer Craig Carnelia’s visit this weekend where he will be doing a two day masterclass on acting the song. This is Craig’s third visit to Elon and we can’t wait to have him back.</p>

*<em>Barrett Weed '11 just booked her first Broadway show in “Lysistrata Jones,” opening this month!
*</em>Check out this weeks episode of Glee where you’ll see Grant Gustin '12 as Sebastian. He’s a new BIG character this season and we hope we’ll be seeing a lot more of him!</p>

<p>Hey everyone! Here are some more updates on our alumni success!
• Kiira Schmidt (currently Margie in “Follies” on Broadway) will join the cast of “Anything Goes” the day after “Follies” closes (January 24) as the understudy for Reno Sweeney covering Sutton Foster!</p>

<p>• Matt Shingledecker '08 has been performing as Roger in the new off broadway revival of “Rent.”</p>

<p>• Taylor Trensch who recently came off of the world premier of “Little Miss Sunshine” at La Jolla Playhouse (with a likely Broadway transfer) will be playing Boq in the Broadway company of “Wicked” from January 23-April 22!</p>

<p>• Check out Grant Gustin on “Glee” TONIGHT on FOX! He will also be appearing on an episode of CSI Miami in January!

<p>• Starting in April, Tara Jayne Sissom was just cast in “The Iceman Cometh” by Eugene ONeil at the Goodman Theatre for their 2012 season. It’s starring Nathan Lane and Brian Dennehy.</p>

<p>• Alex Ellis is currently performing alongside Harry Connick Jr. in “On A Clear Day…” nightly in her SECOND Broadway show!</p>

<p>• Johnny Stellard, having just finished a run of “Evita” at NCT, will join the Broadway company performing alongside Ricky Martin starting March 12!</p>

<p>• Todd Horman, our first Music Theatre graduate here at Elon is now performing with the Broadway company of “Priscilla Queen of the Desert!”</p>

<p>• From March 13 to April 1, Katie Emerson will be performing in “Hello Dolly” at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre in Jupiter, Fl. She will be playing Minnie Fay starring Tony winners Faith Prince and Gary Beach and directed by Marsha Milgrim Dodge</p>

<p>• Barrett Wilbert Weed is making her Broadway debut in the new musical Lysistrata Jones as a swing and will definitely being going on for a week mid-February!</p>

<p>• Rob Marnell is now performing with the company of “Jersey Boys” in Las Vegas!</p>

<p>• Greg Mahue is currently doing “A Chritmas Carol” at the Ford Theatre in DC. In the spring he will be playing Rutledge in “1776” with an all-star cast!</p>

<p>• Lindsay Northen will be appearing on “CSI Miami” playing a suspect pageant mom! For those of you who remember our “The Secret Garden,” our Mary Lennox, Merideth Hagner (then age 12), is playing the oldest daughter of the pageant mom who Lindsay, supposedly, killed! Check out the episode this Sunday at 10:00 PM!

<p>• Maurice Whitfield appeared in a guest starring role in CBS’ daytime soap opera “The Young and The Restless” on Nov. 30!</p>
